Creative corner

I hope all of you had a great week - I finally managed to do something I wanted to do for a very long time... organizing my little private workspace... here is the result. Unfortunately I didn't take a "before" pic but where there are now shelves there was just a large wooden framed Verrall-print. Now I can find everything to be creative - I love it!!!

Credits: frame by me, font is 1550 (one of my favourites)

We've also renewed Moritz's room a little with lots of greens from IKEA - I'll show you later, ok?

Here is stitching freebie Nr. 10

Enjoy and have a great week - I guess I will come back with a little something for you very soon...

So cold...

As throughout July the weather was so hot, now, since we have August we are freezing... it feels and looks like late autumn here, the leaves are falling from the trees, we need to wear really warm clothes and some of us are already heating their houses!!!!

I can't believe this summer should be already over, so we have to wait what temperatures the next week will bring...

Fitting to the weather I did a layout with my favourite Halloween picture so far - Moritz was such a cute bat and as the US-UK tradition of "Trick or Treating" has come over to us, we more and more use to "celebrate" Halloween your way. (The one with the pumpkin-mask is Georg...)

Here is your next part of the stitching collection:

I hope you all have a fantastic (and warm) week!!!

We have been to a corn-labyrinth last week which was so much fun! And there is wonderful summer event in our town - people are sitting around on bales of straw in the middle of a huge sunflower-field, roasting corn-cobs and listening to country bands - very romantic! Here are some pics taken there, the frames are by me.

I've got the next stitching for your collection - have fun and please leave a hello when visiting!

I hope you'll have a great weekend!

I wonder if you you still know me...

... because I was a very, very bad blogger recently!

How can I apologize? Well, it was a mixture between my job, the hot weather, spending time with my family...

But I am here with some goodies for you. If you liked the layout in my last post - go and get the quickpage here:

And I have a further part of the stitching collection I started to give out a LONG time ago...

I did a layout!!! The great Jen Wilson had a sale and I bought five awesome embellishment-packs for just $ 1 each, I instantly HAD to do a layout with her stuff:

credits: everything by Jen Wilson

Thanks so much for all your sweet comments - and thanks a lot for the hint for looking at "scrapshoptalk", the site is great!

Have a great start into the new week and I will be back MUCH sooner!!!

Where has my time gone...?

I am so sorry for not posting each day - having gone back to work hits me more than I have imagined, even if it is just part time. It means not having Moritz around, not knowing what he's doing half of his day, waking him up at six o'clock (when he is fast asleep),...

Because of the lack of time I do not have much time for my passions (photography, scrapping and blogging) - everything is not so easy, although my guys really support me a lot.

BTW, here is one project I did with the fab Shabby Princess' "In the Groove"-Piece-a-cake-album she has on her site, for FREE, here:

I scrapped this mini-album with our holiday pics last night:

And here is your Freebie-Link with Stitching Nr. 6:

I wish I could post more often and WILL try so, ok? Please leave me a message, when you stop by!

Have a great weekend!

Back again!!!

Hello my beloved blog-readers!!!

So much happened the recent days... Moritz celebrated his 3rd birthday on June 23rd, the next day we started our vacation in Italy and now we are back - and I have SO many pictures to work with and SO much laundry to do and there was a harder storm while we were not at home and the garden looks disastrous - luckily our house is not demaged at all...

I had just the time to put some birthday pics together, but I promise there are more to come...

We finished Mo's ("Mo" recently has become Moritz's nickname - it is shorter and fits SO well...) treehouse just in time and decorated it with balloons - the house was his "biggest" present ever. We really had a big party with all the grandparents, aunts and uncles in our garden underneath a rain-safe tent... it was really hot the days before, but the rain came an hour before the party started. In the morning Mo had his "birthday table" (sort of a family tradition), then he went to his childrens' party at his childminder (she lives in the same street and is a good friend of mine). After his nappy, the guests arrived and it was a wonderful party - even the sun came out again!

(***edited: OMG - the picture looks as if Moritz had lost a tooth!!! He didn't and his teeth are quite well - believe me, the original picture looks MUCH better...)

Our trip to Italy was great - it was quite hot and we enjoyed Venice (which is just a five-hours-drive from where we live) and the beach a lot. I will post the pics later on, there hasn't even been the time to have a closer look at them...

... but I always have the time for your freebie - so here is Stitching Nr. 4:

I hope you're all doing fine, I have to got to bed now (it is midnight here) - good night!!

I will be on vacation in Italy for the whole next week and'll be back with photos from Moritz's 3rd birthday, freebies and lots of holiday pics on Saturday (July1st).

A layout and some realistic stitching

A layout!!! Having bought five (!!) kits at Scrapartist's sale today I had to do a layout with one of the Fathers Day pics. I SO love Nancie Rowe Janitz's designs and in SAs forum she once explained how she does her stitching - she uses a sewing-machine! As I do not have such a thing at home, I asked my mom to sew some messy black stitiching onto a white paper - so she did and I scanned them on 300 dpi and cleaned them up in PSE. For a better view I made a 100% close-up.

(Credits: overlay, rusty staple, tag, ribbon (all from "Quiet Love"), scalloped paper mask, linen texture & "old french writing" - brush by Nancie Rowe Janitz; background paper, silver staples, stitching & picture tag by me; font is "Nasty")

Stitching close-up:

My daily-download has unfortunately turned into a every-second-day-download, because of the lack of time I have since working outside the house... it is all very new and a little hard to manage in those first days, but things will become easier all the time (I really wish for this!) - BTW, here is todays freebie:

I hope your're all doing fine and please say hello, when you visit me!!!

On dreams and colors...

My first day back in the "big world of employment" is done... it worked quite well, although it means standing up at 6 o'clock, bringing Moritz to his childminder at 7, starting to work at 8 ... but as I work part-time I come home at half past one, so I have enough time left for my family, for designing, for blogging, for gardening...

I took a photo of my sleeping "baby" yesterday and changed the color into soft sepia. Look at these longs lashes! (he definately does not have them from me...)

(Credits: frame by Anna Aspnes, magnetic words "Romance" by Kim Hill, staples by me, filter by optikVerveLab)

***Just a quick note on the stitching-freebie: the original color of the stitches is red, I've colorized them only for the large preview, so the elements you download are red too, but you can easily change the colors - in PSE4 it is: Enhance -> Adjust Color -> Color Variations or play with Hue/Saturation

Have fun and a great day!

Strawberries and other goodies

Sorry for not posting earlier but I will go back to work on Monday (I haven't been "working" since we've got Moritz, except my courses at university...) and so I had a lot of organizing to do... but here I am with some goodies!

A few days ago we've been at a strawberry-patch ... we both loved it but afterwards Moritz looked very much like a sweet berry himself. Because pics of me are quite rare, I "forced" my son to take a picture of his mommy - I think he really did a great job. (Credits: frames by me, also the recipe-card with ribbon, staple, bow and brush; font is 1942)

Drumroll.... I finally decided to give you some stitching!!! Here is the preview to the stitching collection you can come up with.

What do you think??? As some of you mentioned, "one can never have enough stitiching", so here is Nr. 1.:

I hope you have a great weekend and can't wait to read your comments!!

Aged Picture

I found a great tutorial on aging pictures digitally - unfortunately it's in German (well, perfect for me, but not that good for you, hm?) - but I will try to translate and summarize it for you when I find some time, ok? BWT, here is the link if you understand a little German:

The original photo:

And the aged one - what a difference...

As promised here is the link for the Caffe-Latte numbers (WHITE chocolate this time), I'm so happy that you liked the alpha!

sorry, gone!

... still thinking about the next daily download...

Please say "Hello" when visiting : )

I hope you have a great day!

Father's Day Pics

We really had a great Father's Day - spending some calm time at a lake, being together all three which is quite rare in our family, so we enjoyed it really. Georg had to make so many night-shifts (he works as an emergency doctor) so we've hardly seen him lately... here are some pics taken on this little trip : ) (sorry, as usual, no pictures of the photographer...)

... and, as promised I did a coordinating alpha for the Caffe Latte kit:

Here is the link for the alpha, the link for the numbers will be up tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

sorry, gone!

I hope you like it and would like to read LOADS of comments ; ) - oh, and please, if you use my stuff, would you send me the links you your galleries? I'd love to see what you are making...

Have a great day!

Sneak Preview and LAST Caffe Latte

I am working on my Flower Series Vol. II right now - here is a sneak peek - it should get bigger by clicking on it...

What do you think?

As you download the last Caffe Latte - link today, I am thinking of a new daily-download... don't know yet what it will be, but be sure to check back... and, I guess there will we an alpha for the Caffe Latte soon... ;)

Caffe Latte Nr. 11:

sorry, gone!

I am going to delete the old links next week, so please download what you need!

I hope you all have a great Father's Day - what gifts do you have for your fathers... it isn't easy to buy presents for them, am I right? I bought some skin-care products for my dad and Moritz has a pair of swimming trunks for Georg and of course a self-drawn picture.

Have a great weekend! I'd love to hear from you!

Birthday Pic and Link

I wanted to post yesterday, but blogger had some server-issues and didn't want to let me in...

Thinking about Moritz's birthday party on June 23rd (my baby is going to be THREE soon!!!) I was looking through some old pictures and found one taken on his first birthday. I changed it with some filters, added one of those great frames Meredith Fenwick made and here we go - "Bubbles":

Crafting again!!!

That was a weekend... we celebrated MILs birthday, built a tree-house for Moritz (well, not really ON a tree but surrounded by trees - thats why we call it treehouse), had a long brunch with good friends - really packed with a lot of joy!!!

This morning I tried something I wanted to do for so long, making my very own T-Shirt - and I LOVE it!

(credits: background-card by Katie Pertiet - DD, "Country" and "girls" - Word Arts by me - fonts used are Showboat and Beyond Wonderland,"Wanted" Word Art (cropped) by Katie Pertiet - DD, leaf-brush by Kellie Mize - DD, the hand is a custom PSE4-shape)

Cleaning up my garden was a big MUST this weekend, although the weather was not that great. Here is a picture I took from my herb garden. As I love romantic gardens much more than formal ones, it might still look a little messy, but I really like it that way.

(credits: frame by me)

Finally, here is your Caffe-Latte link Nr. 9:

sorry, gone!

I hope you're all fine and as always I LOVE to "hear" from you!!!

New Font, Gardenpics and Link 7

I found a new grungy font - so great and free, available at

The numbers are dingbats of signs, showing how to wash clothes... I really have loads of pictures it can be used for : ) - just like this:

(credits: tape - Black Squirrel Designs, notebook-paper by me)

Walking around in my garden I took many, many pictures (as usual...) - and I did this layout with the most beautiful ones.

(credits: frames, paper and metal frame by me, butterfly-brush is made by a picture scanned from an ad)

Oh, and I didn't forget about your coffee : )

sorry, gone!

Thanks for all your sweet comments!

Just because!

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy blogging - it makes so much fun, having such great readers and earning THAT sweet comments - so I decided to share "a little something" with you!

sorry, gone!

Enjoy and have fun (and if you use my designs, please let me know - I would LOVE to see what you made!)

Here is a layout I did with the diamond-frame - it shows Moritz in summer last year.

(credits: bubble alpha by Ashly Olson, frame by me)

I took a picture some days ago and wanted to delete it from my camera - I'm glad, I didn't - I really like how the sun (no filter used!) softens and darkens the face.

(credits: frame by me)

Have a wonderful day and please keep on like this!!!

PS: Just answering a question: sorry, I don't sell my products yet, but I'll let you know, when the time has come : )
